One of the main theses about Alchemical Garden Forum is that there is a need to make a distinction between low quality and high quality practice. Therefore, we need to have some sense of awareness and curiosity about what happens in the world at large.

I'm pleased to announce a brand new forum branch for Alchemical Garden: The Scamgong Bulletin! The term scamgong can be thought as a portmanteau of the words scam and Neigong (internal skill), and the implication is that a lot of the nominally marketed "internal skills" are anything but so.

The purpose of this forum branch is to allow free and private discussion about unethical teachers and harmful teachings. Public circulation of this content is entirely forbidden.

Forum terms and rules still apply on The Scamgong Bulletin branch, but with some lenience because it's a private and hidden communication channel, pretty much like private messaging between a group of individuals.

Access to The Scamgong Bulleting can be gained through a letter of application. Yes, it's another application on top of the standard user registration. The letter should make clear why you want the access, and please consider the fact that we don't admit people who have been rejected once already. And yes, we will keep a record of these rejections, so make your case good before submitting it to our discernment.

The access requirements to The Scamgong Bulletin can change at any time for no particular reason, which can lead to the termination of user access.

After reviewing different choices and their consequences, I have decided that The Scamgong Bulletin subforum view is open to registered members.

This means that our members are now able to see all the thread titles in this forum branch. However, viewing the thread contents is exclusively reserved for the subscribed The Scamgong Bulletin members.

The reason why I relaxed the viewing permission is that registered members should have an overview of what is discussed in critical scrutiny and therefore understand that these teachers and teachings shall not be discussed elsewhere in detail. Any posts or threads deserving the sensitivity of The Scamgong Bulletin will be relocated there without further ado.

Another change in using The Scamgong Bulletin: New threads and posts need moderator approval. TSB subscribers who have the Practitioner status are exempt from this because they are already deemed mature contributors and worthy of starting threads on our Academia forum stem which has special emphasis on content curation.
